Abstract Dislocation engineering in crystalline materials is essential when designing for a large range of applications. Segregation additional elements at dislocations frequently used to modify the influence on material properties. Thus, dislocation elastic field impurity segregation major interest, as its understanding should lead solutions that improve We report experimental study atomic core and area surrounding edge Fe-based alloys. Each element found either segregate or form atmospheres. The has strong effect atmosphere, but no segregation. theory good agreement with experiments, support engineering.
